What a difference one day can make. Yesterday mid 50's and I was off work so did some riding. Today snow fluries and right now 19 degrees and my truck battery was dead this morning.

I saw a guy riding a BMW on I-40 yesterday morning just outside of Asheville. It was just blowing snow at that point. I'm pretty sure he was off the road by noon. LOL

FInally, we got snow this winter.  Enough to actually take my son sledding for the first time.  This was my daughters first snow too (7 months old).

I have a good friend who lives in Garner. He's an old guy so I doubt he is out playing in it.

we got roughly 4 to 5 where I am at.  Luckily it was all soft snow.  Further south and east got mixed with sleet.

Thats pretty good. We got about 2-3 with some ice underneath.
The roads in my hood are glass after the kids were sledding on them last night. It was pretty funny thinking how they were doing their part to insure a snow day.

I think I've got 3 1/2- 4 ' in my front yard I'll know better when I go out to the wood pile to bring in more wood so 3-4" inches doesn't cut it guys it just sounds like your whining.

I wish we would have gotten more, I like snow.  Anything that shuts work down is fine by me.  3-4" of snow is decent down here considering this happens maybe twice a year and typically melts the next day.  Also, no sense in the state investing a couple million for snow plows when they would only be used twice a year so if it keeps people of the road, even better.

Kids and dogs in the snow are fun to watch. The snow we are getting here is a lot less solid and a lot more transparent.   :(
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Well, considering you live in a flat place with roads laid out in a grid pattern I can see your logic. Down here every step is either up or down and the roads follow the old indian paths, who followed the deer before them.
Growing up in Michigan I know what deep snow is all about. It isn't a big deal when all you might do is drift off into a ditch but down here you might drift off a 500' ridge. No plows, no salt, 50% shaded areas that don't see sun. Totally different situation. ;)

Nccb, your kids are looking like the are enjoying the snow almost as much as the Malamute. I have had a few of them (both, kids and malamutes) The dogs are great. ;D

Well it was only in the 80's today, but tomorrow it'll be in the 90's and over 100 again on Sunday. Oh what I'd give for some snow right now............ ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
