So instead of tackling the bike all at once and losing motivation I have decided to do one section of the bike at a time. So this weekend I will be working on the rear wheel assembly.
Plans for the weekend is to take the rear wheel assembly off and:
- Re-Polish the hub, spokes, rim (because sitting outside for almost 3 years has caused those parts to get all oxidated with cloudy and black speckled spots.
- switch out the rear drum brakes with new EBC grooved brakes
- switch out the rear wheel bearings and do a detailed clean of the hub
- switch out the bearing retainer
- replace the rear sprocket with new 38t jt rear sprocket
- new tire strip, tire tube, and new avon am26 tire
- and clean, polish, and grease up all parts on the rear wheel up.
So that is the plan this weekend I will post pictures once done.
