Another REG/REC wire up 78 cb750

So heres what im working on. 78 cb750K  bob/chop


This is the reg/rec combo i bought from Tommy Summers at Lowriders by summers. Same unit as everyone else but 10 bucks cheaper.


Here is what the wires look like coming out. So question is how do they connect? Ive seen a lot of diagrams that switch the white and black around and the green and red or whatever. Can anyone direct me on this particular unit. I know the yellows go together. 


One more diagram that i came up with. I just want to make sure I hook it up correct cause I really dont want to burn this thing up. I know the plugs arent numbered right. Just wanting guidance on this reg/rec.

Wiring looks good but maybe simpler to fathom here...

So match the colors? Green is ground. Red to the battery (fused), black to ignition (coils). I'm getting confused cause I've seen some diagrams show the reg/rec black wire hook to the stators white wire.

Wish I had an answer for you, have you tried emailing Tommy about it? He's usually pretty quick to reply, I was chatting with him last year about something and he got back to me right away. Being his reg/rec I'd expect he'd know better than anyone what wire goes where.

It looks like you just match the wire colors... red is battery +, green is ground, black is switched ignition power, white is the field coil, yellows are the stator coil.
The newer Honda fours (with some exceptions that use a different alternator system) used the field coil control opposite to the old ones: our old design has field coil grounded with the regulator controlling the + voltage; newer ones have the field coil powered and control the ground side.
The manufacturer should be able to tell you which type this is. If it was sold for 69-78 CB750 use it should be the right kind to just drop in a normal wiring harness.
