Front wheel axle caps directional on cb550?
« on: February 04, 2014, 05:06:02 PM »
Just a random question.... Are the caps that hold the axle and wheel to the fork directional on the cb550? On the cb750 it seems to be (pic below).

I noticed what looks like an F mark....I'm guessing indicating front.... What would potentially be the result of having one turned around the wrong way? Small bounce?

I just flipped one around... Accidentally had one facing wrong way so that F looks like this now:

F ^ (arrow represents direction of bike)

its not obvious at first glance unless you know, semi tighten the front first so its square on its contact face, then nip the rear, then tighten the front fully then the rear.

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.
