Yes, I just hate it when "modern" building inspectors do not check for underground water flow... ::)

It looks like only two or three can be salvaged.  This is a video from a quadcopter that they flew down into the hole.

i dont know , the ones that are visible dont look that bad , if they are rare enough you could fix them all .
i would however take part of the outer wall down to get the others out and quickly .

Yeah, what the hell is that supposed to mean?
When was this building built?

I think they should have found themselves an experienced 10 year old to pilot it.  :)

Actually, I was questioning the reference to building codes, as though they might have avoided this. Not likely unless the sink hole was already well formed and near the surface.. and they looked for it before building. It could even have been several times this size and swallowed the entire building. Kentucky is one of the most Karst ridden areas of the U.S. They also happen in Florida all the time. Not long ago a house was swallowed up with an occupant asleep inside and they were never able to even recover his body.

It appears the building was built in 1994 and I am sure would have probably had a decent amount of bore holes on the geotech report to see if these kinds of formations were under the building pad. In 20 years this kind of sinkhole could have happened that would not have been apparent in a geotechnical investigation when the building was being designed.

Like Bob said Kentucky is filled with a very extensive cave and karst system due to the amount of limestone bedrock all over the state.
Fun for spelunkers but not for building and property owners usually.

Hope a 63 didn't go down there.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.
