Given that 2 strokes are allowed how about something different....1972 Ski Doo Blizzard 797 triple.  CVT so no tranny, just twist the throttle and go. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

There's a guy here running a more modern LC version in an F2 chassis that's very fast.

Brian, if it's only very fast, there must be something wrong with it.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

These two ladies ride sleds that are only a few 10ths of a second slower than....
C95 sprint bike.
CB95 hybrid race bike
CB95 race bike
CB92
RS 175. sprint/land speed bike
JMR Racing CB750A street ET drag bike

I,m an old racer at the end of his tether. ???
There's not a lot left in the old fella.
Certainly not a new bike. ;)

Re; the HD gear sets.

I have made a few calls and managed to track down the bloke that machined the original set.

He no longer has any original data on them, so we have arranged to send my set down so he has something to go off.

I will let you know how I go.

Cheers,
Brian

Apparently they may be based on the early GL1000 gear sets.

Heading off to Broadford on the weekend for the Victorian Titles.
So we thought it was about time to put the bike back together. :)
Scrabled around in the parts bin and came up with the replacment gears and wackt it together.
But it wouldn't turn over properly after we buttoned it up. :(

Wacked it back on the bench and had another look.
We probably need to cut back on the stubbies when we are doing the motors. ::)

Found a very sad shift fork and the cush drive was toast.
Motor assembly and beer consumption has been a part of our race prep for as long as I can remember.
Maybe we need to rethink our race prep, nar fcuk it. ;D

Cheers,
.Brian

Re,
The HD gear sets.
The attached picture shows the difference between the std gears and our HD gears.
The second pic shows what we can do to the std gears in our application.
These gear sets eliminate the problem of our comp.  bikes jumping out of 4th and 5th gear.
Not mention the missing dog syndrome. :)

Cheers,
Brian

Yes it's this coming weekend Brian.
You will be able to keep tabs on us "live" on Computime if your interested.
I won't riding. I've handed over the riding duties to a mate for this meeting.
Bondy's an old hand so no worries on that score.
This will be the first time I've had to relinquish the riding duties, physically I'm just not up to it at the moment.

Anyway we'll see how it goes.

Cheers,
Brian
