Topic: H4 brand?

My last Sylvania lasted only 10 month or so, now the high beam is gone.  I remember thsi one was specifically designed for motorcycles and resistant to shaking.

Do you have a preferred brand of H4  that lasts longer?

Philips has very good bulbs. I have heard of cars where the bulbs dies quickly, solved when using Philips. Might withstand over voltage better...
I have a working H4 bulb, next will be Philips Extreme Vision H4. They have long life version too.

Not sure if its the exact one I have but same company -one of the bulbs has less draw for the same given output.

Try the Philips Eco-Vision. have used them for years with no problem. As a bonus they draw 20% less power than a standard bulb.
If you are blowing bulbs on a regular basis do a thorough check of your charging system.

candlepower is a good one. I'm running it for a year now. It is a motorcycle type h4, little more vibration resistant I suppose

Osram brand bulbs used to be one of the best for longevity, they were more expensive than others, but worth it.  Harder to find these days with all of the inexpensive ones on the shelf and available online, I suppose most folks are more interested in low price, and the quality follows...
