Topic: What is this part? Oh, and here is my bike build so far.

So this was associated with one of the two passenger pegs that also hold the exhaust on. I can't figure out what it was for.

Did the bike have a 4-1 exhaust on it at one time ? It may have been a bracket the PO put on to hold the center stand down to clear the chain ?? What year 750 is that, looks like its coming along nicely.

It's a '75 but it had factory flake sunrise orange so I'm thinking of it as a '74.

May have been a 74 sold and titled as a 75 like they did here in Michigan back in the day. Have you checked your serial numbers here at this site ?  http://www.hondachopper.com/engine/engine_timeline/timeline.html

Is your bike a k6?
If so it could be a bracket for the engine breather pipe that comes off the top of the engine.If so it bolts on the right side passenger footrest sitting on bike.This was only for the k6 it directs the oil mist away from the rear Tyre.
