EMGO fork tubes, early style problems?

Has anyone had a hard time getting the fork pistons on the bottom if EMGO fork tubes (early year models)? It feels like the tube is a fraction of a mm wide or something...

It seems to be about .14mm too wide and now I have my f'in piston stuck and it won't budge

Emgo makes fork tubes?  How much..
 Tap it off carefully with a wooden or aluminum drift, then polish off some plating.

Yeah, they were like $120.

But so far wouldn't recommend. F in night mare trying to get the piston on. Any recommended way to polish off some plating?

Hold tube in a vise with padding, then use emery with shoe shining motion..work around it.
 ( unless you have a lathe to use)

So now that I have access to a computer I was able to do a more comprehensive search and found this post if anyone is interested. It can be hard to do full searches on a phone with greasy hands.

Looks like its a thing and all you have to do is hone the piston or as Frank suggested sand down the tube a little.

Still struggling with this second one. Using a brake cylinder hone on the piston and for the life of me can't get it on. Can't figure out if it's just a bad repop fork tube or my fork tube piston is bad.

Maybe just take the piston to a machine shop and have them bore like .15mm out of it?

Yup, still won't fit. Going to have to find a machine shop to grind down the tube or bore out the piston

So I've tried using emery paper on the new tubes, emery on the inside of the piston as well as a cylinder hone on the inside of the piston (for a long time).

Should I get the piston bored out like .15mm? And I that's the case does anyone know a machine shop that would do that in the NYC area? Or someone here have access to the tools!
