Just curious.

I live in Ohio and we do not have a helmet law. But I still wear one. Most people don't wear them here. Would you still wear one if it wasn't required by law?

Yes I wear a helmet even if I am in a State where it is not required. I play the odds and take whatever edge I can get.

I would wear one with, or without a law. I also don't back the car out of the driveway without my seatbelt on.

honestly - if i lived somewhere where the general population was not composed of retarded blathering fools and there weren't so many cars, i would NOT wear a helmet...

i never gave not wearing a helmet a second thought until i bought my 750.considering the way i ride it,a helmet is a good idea.im probably going to upgrade my helmet quality sometime over the winter too.

I have to admit that I enjoy riding without a helmet, but this morning I got stuck in traffic (in my car) for 2.5 hours because of a fatal motorcycle accident which got me thinking about safety and riding. I had plenty of time to think about it. This guy probably would not have survived with or without a helmet, but I will probably not ride without a helmet after this sobering commute. Passing the downed bike was definitely a reminder of how dangerous our hobby/lifestyle can be.

I wear my helmet all the time. Pa doesn't have a helmet law anymore and most riders I see don't wear them.

Full face, all the time, needed by law or not.

My first bike accident was at a time when helmets were not mandatory in the UK. I wore a helmet so that my hair (the long haired seventies) didn't get messed up before work. Hit a car and head butted the front window pillar hard enough to break the windshield. If I had been helmetless I would not be typing this now. Nuff said.

One time a car going the opposite direction threw a stone and hit my helmet right at the left temple and took out a chunk the size of a dime. They are not just crash protection.

Not required in Oklahoma, and most do NOT wear them.

I always will. Two little kids at home that make it worth the inconvenience.

Well how else do we while away those long winter days when we can't ride? Admittedly the other people in the office look at you kinda sideways, especially when you sit there with your arms out in front going "brummm, brummm".

I installed speakers and a microphone into the helmet that I was using when I was instructing. As long as you are methodical and careful it is not too difficult a job. The most important thing is to not remove too much of the expanded polystyrene crush layer when you are inserting the speakers.

WHEW!!!

Not as bad as puking.....Had a student once who was so nervous about her test she lost her breakfast before she could get the helmet off. It was one of our rental helmets, too.

They make everything a lot easier, especially running in to the gas station to pay for your gas.
