I wear mine even when not riding.

I installed speakers and a microphone into the helmet that I was using when I was instructing. As long as you are methodical and careful it is not too difficult a job. The most important thing is to not remove too much of the expanded polystyrene crush layer when you are inserting the speakers.
Speaking of holding the onions...Okay, I'll admit I'm a newbie, but why didn't anyone warn me NOT to belch in my helmet?!?WHEW!!!
I'm glad I've got a flip-up lid - makes it easier when you have to sneeze...!!!
