'73 cb500k cutting valve seats
« on: April 30, 2014, 07:02:22 AM »
After cleaning mad gunk off of the cylinder head and valves, I discovered the one set of valve seats to be pretty badly pitted. I was planning on lapping the valves, but that won't fix the pitting. How do you cut new valve seats? Can it be done without paying a machinist? If I do one, do I have to do them all? Anybody with valve expertise want to weigh in and give me general advise? Thanks.

I normally have a machine shop involved when they need to be cut.
