Help with CB550 bobber?
« on: May 30, 2014, 03:25:58 PM »
I'm right now in the process of building a CB 550 bobber/ brat. I've been trying to decide the best way to make seat comfortable but not give up style. Been contemplating on making it two seats with the passenger seat being removable.
I want to have the option on two person bike if need be. Could someone put me in the right direction. If i do the seat for a passenger I want to put forward controls so i can ride stretched and my wife can ride where me feet used to be.  Maybe even give some pointers to some other things to do to the bike. (I'm going to keep this bike a soft tail)
So far I have relocated the shock holes back further on the swing arm, cut the back hoop off that's all i have don't to the frame. And of course getting the motor to spark and start and all the wiring junk. (don't mind the water bottle gas tanks original tank is in the process of being cleaned up)

So I'm open to suggestion give me some feedback and ideas for the frame, forward controls, seat, etc...

P.S. Please no bashers on not keeping on not being a bobber because soft tail and two seater so on so on
