Scorpion helmets?

Anybody have any experience with a Scorpion EX-400?  Seems like a pretty nice helmet for the price.

Have one. Love it. I would expect to see their prices go up in a year or two. I think they have kept their prices down to gain market share.

About the same time I realized my Shoei RF200 had been out of production for 10 years, I read the Motorcyclist article on helmets.  The research sounded solid as well as my wallet was light.  I went looking at ZR1, HJC and Scorpion, and was most impressed with the Scorpian, bought it and have no regrets.  [Only the silly scorpion "stinger" badge bothers me].  The helmet is QUIET, comfy, decently vented, the NO-FOG SHIELD REALLY DOES NOT FOG !!!  The liner pulls out to be washed.  Sorry tho, I can't speak to how it has held up in an accident yet!

The Scorpion looks good.  Snell and DOT certified.  BTW since you're looking for a full face costing between 1-2 bills, consider an HJC.  I did a lot of research (http://www.webbikeworld.com/ is a good reference.  Also see the article they reference on the relevance of DOT vs. Snell rating) and ended up buying an HJC CL-15 that has a removable lining, is very comfortable and quiet, DOT and Snell '05 rated (  http://www.hjchelmets.com/cl15.htm ) for ~ $120 from Dennis Kirk.  I prefer it over the old Shoei it replaced...not only because it was painted to match an 80's GSXR, but because it didn't fit my egg-shaped head too well.  Yes I acknowledge I am an egg head.
