Stock seat for 750 K5/K6 - reproduction
« on: September 20, 2006, 08:28:36 PM »
I've found a couple of reasonably priced reproduction seats for my 750 K6, but they are in europe and the shipping is significant.

Does anyone know anyone carrying these in the States? Or of reasonably priced stock seats?

Thanks!

ps. If anyone is looking for a K0/K1 NOS seat, I've got the ebay mistake for sale - I now know this seat doesn't fit later models!

Does the seat you bought on eBay have a 'ducktail'?  Post a link to the auction or photo of the seat.  You might have a very very valuable seat in your hands that will pay for a few reproduction seats for your bike  ;D

Well I guess I really don't know what I'm talking about! The seat I bought mistakenly isn't a ducktail:

One thing I do know is that it has a different latch (a flat metal hook affair) than I can use on my bike (a round "peg" type). I'd switch the latches but nothing really lines up.

Thanks

if the flat metal hook is on the left side,it fits the early bikes, circa 1971.

Will this fit a 1974 750 ???  If so are you looking for what you bought it for?

I don't think it will fit a 74 because of the latch assembly

Samfig,

That seat will definitely not fit your bike, even if you try to line up the peg type lock, you would need to weld on a new plate and lock assembly onto the frame.  You would be better off finding a seat for your bike.  Try cmsnl.com or ebay.
