Oh, Da Agony Of Da Feet.......
« on: September 22, 2006, 10:11:58 PM »
And yes, the pun is intentional!!! ;D

Well, the surgery was done on Monday and I had no idea I could withstand so much pain! I hate taking meds for the most part but now I can't seem to get enough to kill it, let alone take the edge off. I am in a cast up to my knee and if any of you have met me you know how big I am. Now, imagine my fat ass trying to get around with one of those little granny walkers. Not for the faint of heart! You would be torn as to who to feel worse for, me or the walker ;D ;D

In other News, Kudos to Scondon for the heads up on an engine for Rita. By this time next month, she will be tooling around Marin again with a new-to-her mill.

I also found a seller on E-bay who has better springer forks for a much better price. So, before the new year, I should be tearing up the roads again, all healed up and Rita all fixed up. I'll try to give the locals a heads up when we are ready to ride, maybe a December ride might be doable, depends on the weather here-abouts. We'll for sure be ready for next season.

Talk to everyone soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Jeff the Gimp

 You're right, I'm torn :D :D :D :D

Seriously though, sorry to hear you're less than mobile and in pain. It's a hard place to be, for sure, so my thoughts are for your speedy recovery. Remember to take good care during your recovery. As in motorcycle restoration, all the long days/nights of frustration/obsession/ busted knuckles will all be worth it the first day you get to hop on that new ankle and take it for a ride ;) ;D ;D

Glad that engine was still available. No way of telling in advance if it's perfect or not, but the price was sure right ;)
Give me..a frame to build a bike on, and my imagination will build upon that frame

Scondon, Yeah, for $40 you can't go wrong!! She might even still have the frame if you know any one who might want it.
