Sucks to get old, worse to not get old. Cheers.

It seems I lose old friends in groups. Some are old and ready to shuffle off and others that still could enjoy a few years.

Well I raise a toast to the latest group of my friends  to move to wherever it is my lost friends go. I love you all, but I hope I'm the last to get off of a motorcycle and the last to crew chief on a Dragster.
When my eyes stop leaking I'm putting on my gear and going for a ridev or more likely, drink this bottle dry and stay home.

I'm usually ready for it but this time is different. This guy loved to race but he was so good at it he did it the hard way, because doing it right way was too easy.

I have known a lot of people who have stopped short while I keep going. Sometimes it gets hard, no it is always hard. I will stop now.

Sorry for your loss Don. It is never easy to lose close friends and it seems to get harder the older we get because they seem to be dearer to us.

Simon I could say what it's like with no one where they should be, but you know that already, I'm finding because I live in an already isolated spot that I don't see that many humans lots of small birds but not many people and being a reclusive anti social old creature I worry about going a little more dotty than I already am, how do you find the people where you are, do you have many friends to take up the slack, or are you like me, find it's to #$%*ing painful to be nice?

Generally people suck, I prefer the company of a good dog over most people, I have a small group of long term friends i can trust with my life and really don't want any more.... ;)
