Looking for brown leather grips

Why is this thin grip style so hard to come by? I believe brooks grips work if you bore out one to fit on the throttle side. Is there another manufacturer I am missing? Even the brown rubber style is limited.  I'm thinking there is more to this than stocking levels.

Leather grips are often custom. Find a leatherworker in your area and have some made that lace along the bottom. Pretty simple product.



You could always just use leather bar tape (Brooks makes very high quality) and safety-wire the ends.

Linus bicycles come with leather grips. I can attest they are nice and soft yet durable. The only thing I don't know is whether bicycle grips are 7/8". If they're not, they're close. You can always call the people at linus -- it's one of those happy companies where the people are really helpful (in my experience).
