Hello, I just purchased a CB400f coming from a 1978 SR500.
The previous owner put pods on it and a generic header with a shorty exhaust. When I got it it had trouble starting off the line and couldn't rev up. 1/8 to 1/4 throttle was too leana nd 3/4 to WOT I believe is too rich. I have since done Cam chain tensioner adjustment and Valves. and adjusted the pilot screw. Richened the low end and starts off the line better but I believe the 3/4 to WOT is even worse now which leads me to believe the main jet is too big. I have heard that PODS are a big pain in the ass so I am leaning towards putting the stock air box back on and I just ordered a Yoshimura exhaust. Could anyone recommend me a good baseline set up for just all stock air box and just the Yoshimura exhaust.
Thank you,
Chris
