Regulator/Rectifier for CB650

The manual wasn't exactly clear, so I thought i'd ask the experts.  I have a regulator from an 81' CB650Custom.  Is the regulator exchangeable between the standard and the custom from 80'-82' .

At first my answer is yes.   But I have never actually parted out a 82 to compare them.  would still say yes though.
