Cb750k2 ngk dr8es-l, are these ok or to long?

I'm trying to figure out a starting/running issue and am putting in new plugs. I'm getting mixed signals and references on what will fit and would like to make sure these aren't to long.

'78 750K (F3 engine) PD42b's, Modified airbox w/K&N  filter, 40/110 jets, 1 needle shim, IMS@ 1 turn out. Kerker + Cone 18" QuietCore

I got that, but I saw somewhere on this forum that the -l was recommended for certain bikes but was discontinued or something

the proper plugs are D8EA or denso X24ES-U

DR8ES-L
D=12mm
R = Resistor type  (you'll need different plug caps)
8=heart rating
E=19mm thread reach
S= standard 2.5mm electrode
-L =medium heat rating.

not the same plug, but the same thread reach...

I run D7s. First I had them for winter, but they work so well that I keep them year around.

No problem to use NGK DR8ES-L in a CB750. I used that plug during the 80's and this year too.

I bought several sets of them all:  NGK D8EA, NGK DR8ES-L and Denso X24ES-U.
Lucky for me that I bought several sets when I had carb tuning issues fouling plugs after plugs......

Well I also just moved to the Chicago area, from the south so I'm trying to figure out what I'll need different in regards to weather and traffic
