Just saw this bike,  riding from Alaska to Vancouver..
3,000 kilometers so far..

 A few years ago one of my wife's former students (she is a private reading tutor) graduated from high school and left with a friend to ride bicycles from Minneapolis to Tierra Del Fuego.  I think the only place where the road is interrupted is in Panama in the Darien Jungle.   

One of her friends from high school has ridden across the U.S. twice.....done when she was in her mid to late 50's.

My colleague biked East Coast to West Coast with his wife when they got out of the Army.
