Frame kit installing , CB750 how long to install? Pros, Cons.

Describe the installation of your frame kit, regardless of who made it.
Amount of time involved, tools required. Additional. Work or costs
Total time from start to finish.
Ease of installation,  those sort of things.
Just describe your experience, and thoughts on this subject, thanks.

here's mine:

started with cutting the frame.
I have a small air grinder but that wouldn't go all round so had to take the angle grinder in the end.

and just kinda measured were to cut the middle section bit by bit till it fit (how's that for a rhyme!)

after that it's just mounting everything up bolt it all together and weld it carefully... just tacked it in first, unbolted it took it out mounted it again and welded the rest just to see if it was going to fit after...

really happy with the end result, only thing is it's kinda difficult to get the middle section out with the engine in place, it does work but it's a small 5min struggle...

also decided to go with thread on the neck side just to have that extra space although it's not necessary..

costs was only the frame kit itself, other then that no real costs...

materials used:

angle grinder
small air angle grinder
masking tape to make the cut straight instead of drawing a line
welder...

took me about an hour or 2

I bought a weld in Gordon-esk style from you Frank.

Going from memory, times are estimated but close
Analysis paralyses about 2 hours - actually I just had to read the instructions closely 10 times,  (because of an old head injury. j/k) and to make measurements.  Measure twice or three times and cut once.  I studied diagrams closely.

I grabbed a cut off disc and went at it- maybe 30 mins there
Cleaned up edges with a file- 30 mins
Sanded off paint for a clean weld- 10 mins
I found a local welder on Kijiji and paid him $80.  He took about 2 hours.  Cheap I thought.
Basically, no special tools. Measuring tape, black marker, angle grinding with c/o disc
Easy install

110% satisfaction
Have used it twice now -one to easily get the engine out and now, tearing my top end apart leaving the engine in the frame.

My recommendation: Don't build a bike without one.

I guess I didn't really describe the process but read the instructions... wasn't difficult.

There's a few pictures in my build thread but keondd's post above covers it.
