What's this "checker plate"? (Diamond plate?)

yeah diamond plate is checker plate and tread plate,yeah still have beer enough to finish!might paint some of the frame and mudguards,tow it to work on tuesday so i can use the plasma there to cut the sheet.

This Checker Plate Stevo.
This bit is aluminium and you get steel plate as well.
It's as tough as nails.

got some checker plate on the floor today,its painted underneath,ran a lick of paint over most of the unit aswell,too hot today so I stopped,i have liquid nails on the cross pieces in a hope to stop buzzing and drumming,once its dried ill put a few tacks underneath aswell.

yeah ill rig up a bike channel,i already have a nice wide fairly long laminated plank im going to edge with angle iron strips for extra strength for the ramp,ill rig the channel from angle iron also,i wanna see how many cartons of beer itll hold yet!

Just looking at the photo, I reckon 18 to 20 cartons in one layer with enough gap to wheel the bike through in between 'em.

The footpegs might get in the way with the next layer but that should be enough cartons onboard for a quiet drink on a Sunday arvo.  ;D

With checker/diamond plate on the sides,bottom & (removable?)front w/ maybe a removable tailgate you could also use it like a pick up truck if you needed to haul a load of sand,etc.,unless you already have a truck to do that with...

Odd, with enough rum I go sliding all over the place. Must be a southern hemisphere thing that it causes friction there while lubrication here  :o

I dunno what it is with rum, some fellas can handle it others can't.  One fella I went to high school with couldn't.  Not long after high school we had a weekend away and he brought a bottle of rum with him.  Well by 10 that night the bottle of rum was empty and he was ready to fight anyone.  He was only a little fella, about 5'6" ish and weighed 40 kg wringing wet, but it took four of us to hold him down to get him to stop his #$%*.  In the end we tied him to a tree with ratchet straps, he stayed there for the night and was rather pissed off in the morning.  He settled down after we told him what he got up to, he didn't remember a damn thing.  ;D

That is gospel mate.
A mate who was a big mean and angry German lad, took on a couple of HA's one night with a skin full of Bundy Rum and ended up with a snapped arm.
Then they took the lid off of the Septic Tank and chucked him in the sh1t
pit just to teach him a lesson.

ha ha,im happy reading this #$%*!

got the sides on and both tailgates hung,you can slip them off sideways if you need to,i have those anti rattle latches with the zig zag slot pin to fit tomorrow,in retrospect I wish I hadve run a length of angle iron where the floor meets the sides on the outside edge,i have plenty of drain holes along them!wouldve looked a bit tidier,ill just run a strip of flat over it.

well that's pretty much it all but done,just need to sheet in the end gates and paint them,i ran out of checker plate so ill just use some plain sheet we have at work,ran out of paint aswell I used a litre can of hammer tone.
