Question about turn signal bulbs
« on: September 19, 2014, 08:54:56 AM »
I'm heading out on a trip this weekend and have installed a rack/backrest such that I can't use my stock rear turn signals. I have another set that would probably work but they have clear lenses as opposed to yellow. They use the standard 1073/7506 bulbs. Can I use amber 7507 bulbs? Are they the same size? Sorry for the stupid question...
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.

7507 is a similar lamp to 7506 but it has the locking pins at 150 degrees rather then 180 degrees like the 7506 - they won't fit properly in a 7506 socket. Use an 1156 amber lamp, 1156 is basically identical to a 7506. I believe Honda used slightly lower wattage lamps than 1156 but they will work fine.
