Shifter hole in boot?
« on: September 22, 2014, 04:27:39 AM »
I have a hole in my boot from the shifter, first time ever.  I try to alternate my footwear for the work commute, but still, the shifter worn out the left boot enough to make a hole.

I am thinking about shift protector before it eats a hole in another boot; anybody has a proven solution?

I have a hole in my boot for the same reason as well. Mine is steel toe so it is not much of problem to me. I just oil it time to time so that it will not rust.

Buy boots with a reinforced shifter pad on top  ;D

How about taking them to a bootmaker/cobbler who (maybe) can add a thick leather patch to save the ones you have?  :-\
