Here's a little more dope on it. Think Suzuki is also working on a small bore around 500cc supercharged machine that will give the performance of a 1000cc super-bike in a very light platform. Bet in the near future we are going to see more supercharged and turbo type small displacement bikes come on the market as technology has increased.  http://www.gizmag.com/kawasaki-h2r-supercharged-300-horsepower-h2/34039/

They owned the streets in the 70's and it looks like theyre gearing up to do it again. They just sucker-punched the sport bike industry.

My favourite part of the whole article was how they needed to tune it down by using a 2 speed blower setup. At 6k it only produces about 6psi of boost but at 12k it produces all 12psi. When they had straight 12psi throughout the bike was "unrideable". Can you imagine the professional test rider that had to get off the bike with a load of crap in his pants and say "Geez boys, I think we need to tune it down a bit. Excuse me while I go change my undies.".

Look at that ridiculously priced new Buell. Also the vmax or interceptor. I think 20k for a bike that will probably make 250whp and a ton of other state of the art stuff is fair this day in age.

That's interesting. 6lbs is about 1/2 atmosphere and about 50% increase in power. 12 lbs is about 1 atmosphere with 100% increase in power. Nice

Have you noticed the frame?  Very Ducati looking.  That frame must be very rigid to hold 300 hp with out winding up the frame up.  Can't wait to see the street version.

Of course, would never buy a fully restored example.  A low mileage garage find would be ideal.

A completely stock example, paint , pipes etc is worth more than that guys resto-mod. Nothing against it if a person likes it though. You can get a descent restored stocker for what he wrapped up in parts etc.

Agreed. I'd be surprised if the high bid is above $7K.
