Hello
« on: October 05, 2014, 01:44:22 PM »
Hello All,
Just introducing myself and my new toy. A buddy gave it to me with the stipulation that I may have to give/sell it back to him when his boy turns 16 (14 years hence). This isn't unusual for us, we're like brothers except we get along. He knew that I was looking for a bike to putt around town and he had an extra.
Thus far, I've done very little to the bike. I'm just trying to get to know it better. New battery, new front tube, new pods (it didn't have any air cleaners) new gas, that's it. A couple floats were stuck from it sitting for the past year. It has all of the usual suspects problems right now, but still runs/rides. I don't plan on doing much to the bike this year, but a good tune-up is in order.
Thank you all for the wealth of information and time that you've put into this forum. It is awesome, if not a little overwhelming.
Old Bikes:
-various Hondas over the years that I've torn apart, rebuilt, cannibalized, ridden, and crashed or sold
-1981 Kawasaki 550d
-a couple HD sporties
