Larry, i must say i have never been so frustrated when working on any bike than this weird transmission problem in the F model. I'm trying to find the smoking gun but i'm just blind to it now i suppose. I had to take a break tonight. Tomorrow is a new day. The fat lady is getting dressed now.

I have the bike mostly complete, the weather was fair yesterday and I got a chance to ride it around a little. I have a couple things that need attention, the main one being it wanting to jump out of second gear. I have been fighting a head cold the past few days, and I am out of steam for now. Now my buddy with the grudge bike, that I was going to team up with for the trip down cannot make it so Unless I get feeling a lot better, I don't see me driving 12 hours each way. Maybe next time or possibly a race closer. So I would say my fat lady is warming up.. :(

If he needs a rider/driver, let me check with a retired army friend of mine. He normally comes down to help tune a pro mod for one of my friends. He's outside of Chicago.

Well fellas as of 6 pm EST I must draw a final line in the sand...Since there was never a question of actually going to the races, it was more a question of "could I show up with something to race". After a nearly 30 day transformation from broken stocker to Rattle Can Rocker I can only say that I am happy to have made such decent progress (I'm a slow worker) in the amount of time but the bike will not go to Valdosta. I'm a bit disappointed but not torn up. The bike ran today and wasn't too bad but misfortune took it's toll on some small stuff. Pressure sender broke after spending and hour running around chasing fittings. Carbs need some tweaking  and the tach didn't work, so the small stuff and my pride just won't let the bike make it, this trip... I don't consider the effort  a failure for any of us who participated and the adrenaline rush of the last few weeks has been worth it. However, when the ManCup sees my bike I want it to be right, so there we are....
It's good to have more than one 750, so my K3 BOTM, will be making the trip instead....
I'll post video of the first start later......

Larz,

Does this mean you will be there?  Hope so!  I am looking forward to meeting alot of Jim French's SOHC friends this weekend.  Especially Mike Rieck.  Cheers!!  OK, you'll have to put up with a Kwacker ;D!!  Sam, so wish you could be there.  We will all miss you!!
I'm not as smart as I look, but I am pretty.

Larry, you still have a full day to sort your problems out. Let Bill and the rest of the guys go on down ahead of you and  spend your time fixing the bike. Or am I getting my suspicions confirmed that this is more about the party, than the actual desire to race???

Will the K3 be making a trip or 2 down the 1320? Seriously, why not? 8)
