Having The Last Word
« on: November 02, 2014, 12:51:10 PM »
Last Word
Two husbands were discussing their married lives. Although happily married, they admitted that there were arguments sometimes. Then Chad said, “I’ve made one great discovery. I know how to always have the last word.”

“Wow!’ said Sherman, “how did you manage that?”

“It’s easy,” replied Chad. “My last word is always ‘Yes, Dear.’”

My dad told me how to keep your wife happy (this was shortly after my 2nd divorce)
He said the secret to a long marriage is in three little sentences...
Your right.
I'm wrong.
I'm sorry
Must be something to it they were married for 48 years
I got remarried and been with her for 11 years

Dave, +1 for your alternate, that's my go to.  Got some advice from an old timer before marriage to never go to bed mad, can't say I've followed that one  :-\.  Now I am an old timer, so my personal one is "never ignore her opinion, try to listen", sometimes it's tough but I must be doing something right once in a while, 39 years & counting...;)

You guys make me feel like a piker! I've only been with mine 35 years. :)
Sure doesn't seem that long?
My last words are always inside my head: that way she doesn't hear them. :D
