My 1982CB900F Cafe Racer
« on: December 25, 2014, 07:15:08 AM »
I sold my 1977 CB 550k a few years ago and needed another project so I bought a non running neglected stock CB900 and turned it into this little baby.

Have you weighed it on scales yet, looks pretty light.

This is one of the few before pics I have. It doesn't look to bad here but it was very dirty and hadn't run for some time. I bought it for $600 which is very cheap for a bike in Australia and I have spent about 10 times on that original price.

Sorry about the blurry pic. no I haven't had it on the scales yet but it would be interesting to know the difference. I'm sure I have trimmed some weight of it but it's probably deceiving as well with the open middle section because I still have a big heavy battery it's just that it has been moved that the bike looks lighter than it really is.

Hey, nice project there. Kinda wanted one of those myself, but never managed to find one I could do a deal on. Closest I got was an '80 CB750K.

Is there anything more fun than riding? They are between your legs and are quiet when you turn them off.

Success? Not quite BIG enough but, better.  ;)

I tried to get these side by side but that failed. Similar projects eh?

I personally think the Ducati-type lettering is absolutely perfect for it.
