Spark Plug Wires

Discovered this while replacing my plug caps today, should i cut the wires and insulation back?

yes, but you wont need to cut it far.  2-3mm at most.
Just so you see clean wire

That strip and turn down the side is an old fashioned way to use the old type connectors. Definitely not needed or wanted with our screw in connectors. Dan
