I used to wear glasses with transition lenses until I had lasic corrective surgery. In preparation for life without glasses I bought a nice pair of aviator type sunnies. I found that, post surgery, I couldn't wear them or most any sunglasses, everything just seemed too dark and surprisingly, without them, sun glare doesn't seem to bother me. Highly recommend the lasic correction after years of putting up with dirty/muddy visors, fogging lenses and headlight glare. And the added benefit of not having to reach for glasses to check out the chicks at the beach.
