help!!!! need an oil tank for my project
« on: March 20, 2015, 08:23:25 PM »
I'm looking for a replacement oil tank for my 1 9 77 cb750 f2 cafe project. This is the last peice of the puzzle. I've seen carpys oil tank bit was wondering if anyone knows where I can get one that's the right capacity just a little less visible. Thank you in advance. I really like the one in the pic

I bought one from Curt Owen that he custom fabricates and calls the "Roepke Tank" and it is GORGEOUS!  By far the sleekest oil tank I've seen for CB750s.  You can see the oil tank on a bike in this thread:

http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=105433.msg1179000#msg1179000

He was quick to build and ship, great price, and SUPER nice and easy to work with!  If you need his contact info PM me.

I like Steve-o's option.

Here's my oil tank/fender with sight glass crafted in aluminum by Ian Halcott.

Ian will ship anywhere!  FYI -- that's my aluminum seat, too, to match my aluminum gas tank, oil tank/rear fender and front fender.
