Anybody used Carpy's 4 into 1 exhaust?

Before anybody says "use the search function" I did and couldn't find what I was looking for.

Has anybody ever used Carpy's 4 into 1 exhaust system? the yoshimura style? or should I stick to Mac 4 into 1's?

I hear more good things about the motogpwerks pipes.
Still, i think both need to come off for filter changes.

Gunsup - If you're looking to keep the centerstand, have access to the oil filter and aren't concerned with every last hp, the Mac might be the way to go.   A lot of 4-into-1's don't allow for the centerstand.

I have the motogpwerks pipe, which is 10x the quality of the carpy pipe. Stainless steel and built like a tank, plus it actually has a baffle in it.

Anyway, since it's the same style pipe, yes I dont have a center stand, but I just use a rear lift for maintenance etc. I also dont take it off for filter changes, I just use a socket extender and hold a towel under the filter cover while removing it. Not a big deal.

Thanks for the input guys, to be honest I don't use the center stand to much. I am not attached to Carpy's stuff, looks cool but he REALLY sucks to deal with. I was looking at moto GP werks website but I can not find a like to their pipes would you be able to point me into the right direction from here?

how much did the Moto GP pipes run you?

I got mine on ebay directly from motogpwerks.

I know they only make so many pipes a year, I would contact them and see when they'll have some.

If I remember correctly it ended up costing me about $500 shipped.

Yea I actually got his last one from the latest CB550 run.... :) He said he is going to do another production run of 5-6 near the end of the summer.  I cant wait to fit it on the bike.  Ive had it in the box for a few weeks and like everyone says, its stainless steel and built really well, and pretty dang sexy

I have two Carpy pipes and a Moto GP Werks pipe. The build quality on the Moto GP pipe is above the Carpy pipe and I like how it is sectioned and secured with springs as well as the baffle. That said, the Carpy pipe is cheaper and get's the job done.

The MotoGP bike is a high quality pipe. 

Carpy's pipe will get the job done. The design is simpler, doesn't have sections and doesn't attach via springs (easy OFF to change oil filter).

Jay (Lossa) sells a sectioned pipe and will build in stainless if requested.  Jay will also supply a baffle and a mounting tab for the rear section of the pipe.

I have not seen a real one, only photos in this forum and Yamiya.750.com. I should go for it before the other Yoshi 4-1 replicas when this allow a passenger. The angled versions make foot pegs impossible, at least on K0-K6 bikes.
I was really close to order a yoshi replica from Yamiaya, but ordered a 4-4 HM300 replica instead.

The search function in this forum is no longer working. I have problems finding my own posts in insteresting threads I remember.
Google search bar is removed. Thats a pity when it worked really fine. Maybe its about cost when we do not pay anything for the forum access.
I use Google, search SOHC forum + what I look for. Often with + signs. If you remember a forum member from a specific thread, add that too, like " + Hondaman " that has written a lot of interesting posts.

I have a Carpy pipe, i went with it because of the cost firstly.  I had previously talked with Steve about ordering parts then help with some install questions and hes always been a great guy to deal with so that sealed the deal for me.  What parts I can buy from him, I will.

It's been a minute since I have been on here and I knew something didn't look right with the search. I used to be able to find ample amounts of info to the point were I didn't need to ask questions.

I must've gotten Carpy on all his bad days then. Did you have any problems fitting his pipes onto your bike?

I checked out the Lossa Engineering pipes and they seem to be very nice, and the closest thing the the moto GP including price. I am going to give Chris a call and see when his next batch of parts are going to be made. I'm not in a particular rush because my engine is apart at the moment.

Did you have to Re-jet anything going to a 4 into 1 previously I had 4 into 2's on mine

Other than having to make a bracket to hold thr pipe to the frame, it bolted up with little issue

Well gents, I just called Chris at moto gp werks. And he said he litterally sold his last cb 750 yoshimura pipes this morning! But he has some 4->2->1 pipes. He said that he will be making another batch when he has 5-6 guys on the waiting list, and said that it usually takes 2-3 months to get a waiting list for them. I put myself on the waiting list and in reality it will give me the time to finish my engine and save up some money to throw at him. I'm really looking foward to them!

You may also ask him to weld on a support bracket for the end section of the pipe.  You don't want the weight of the headers being supported by the head alone.

Don, Chris's 4 into 2 into 1 already has a bracket welded on for rear support... ;)

I'll drop you the link mate, he has an ebay shop but it has a phone number, I rang him a couple of days ago, sounds like a nice guy...
If you take into account shipping costs from the USA and the sh1t conversion rate of the dollar, he's pretty well spot on the mark.. ;)
