This is a shout out to anyone who has access to the Honda Service Bulitins or is a Honda shop mechanic who might know.  I'm in the process of replacing a head gasket on an '82 Interstate that has blown a second OEM head gasket in 3 years.

Someone mentioned that the torque specs for the GL1000's was increased to 45 ft-lbs.  Question: was the 1100's similarly modified?

Any advice you can give me to prevent the new head gasket from "tenting" into the gap between the cylinders would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.
