'71 CB750 Rear Fender on '74 Bike
« on: April 24, 2015, 02:03:26 PM »
Folks - I am in the process of rebuilding a 1974 CB750.  Just got the frame, swingarm and other stuff back from powder coating and wheels, fenders and other parts back from Salt Lake Chrome (they did a great job).  I also have a 1971 CB750 that has some real nice parts on it, but the engine is seized.  Our future plan is to cafĂ© this bike.  I really like the look of the '71's tail light and holding up all the parts, it looks like I could easily substitute the '71 fender assembly on the '74 bike.  Has anyone done this and what advice might you have?

It should fit if you do not like the 74 tail light with the ramp.

I did this on a 72 750. I replaced the larger tailight with the 71 fender/smaller tailight. NO issues as I recall.
