Well, trucks rent in Kingman for $1200-1800.00 San Diego same truck....... $3800.00! I kid you not!! So dat'$ why! K.
Wow!! I remember the price of rentals went up about 25 years ago after a rash of earthquakes hit SoCal, and for the first time since the dust bowl more people were leaving Cal than moving there. :o
Gas tends to be a lot more expensive in Cal than AZ, so only buy enough gas to get safely back into AZ; my preferred stop is where Hwy 95 meets I-40, at the Love's station.

Made it safe to Vegas! We met up and got our rental car, hit the road and made it to Kingman, Arizona for the night. We'll wake up early for breakfast with Gary Pena before heading out to his shop  ;D

Yeh with Falicon 1/4 inch stroker, lightened and balanced, custom long Carrillo's, 1.2.3 auto tranny, 36mm intakes, 32 exhaust. Suzuki intake spigot's and 4 individual smoothbores, 4-1 cable. Web cam, ......I like it.
