Question # 7 states, in so many words, "you must give way to oncoming vehicles, all of whom have the right of way". That makes sense to me. Then it asks, "What vehicles have the right of way?" The correct answer is of course, all oncoming vehicles. In practice, we give way to vehicles that are dangerous to us in a turn and turn only when it is "safe" to do so. We hope!
We escaped to Calgary from Toronto back in '74 and after 4 days of apartment hunting and pedestrian dodging, I approached two cops in a cruiser to complain about the insane pedestrians with a death wish. "At every corner, they're jumping out in front of my car!" Well, I very quickly found out what was the matter!
Here's one more for you:
When approaching an uncontrolled T intersection, which vehicle has the right of way? For instance, you live on a "through" street and there is a Crescent on your right hand side as you drive along that is uncontrolled (no traffic sign) at each end. Who has the right of as you drive down the street past each intersection?
