New to Me Cb650 and intro

Rescued a 1979 Cb650 in very bad shape tried to post pix

But they wont load cuz they're to large.

Going to try to reduce the file size an try again later

Been building two wheel motorized projects since

seventh grade.

Works out to about 50+ yrs.

 I'm looking for accelerator pump

squirt nozzle just the little brass post lookin thing

 The carbs were done but assembled wrong

 an the i broken part when pump activates 99 %

of fuel goes out the broken 1

Welcome to the forum.  You should be able to post photos AFTER 10 posts by using a free photo sharing site like photobucket. 

The 1979 model of the CB650 is in my opinion the best of the 650 SOHC/4 bikes -- less chopper than the 1980-82 models.   

What is your aim with the bike?  Restore or customize?

Sort of a low dollar cafe/canyon blaster for

 local area Like Kern Canyon,Lyons Trail and

Breckenridge Peak around Southern end of Central Valley

 Ca.

 It is in really bad shape  but the engine isn't

 seized.

It was pushed into my Bro's Backyard an left there

for ? years.

 After it quit running while some guy was taking it home.

 Looks like the coils got fried.

 Ive got neon coils coming and just need that nozzle

and then it should run.

Make sure to go over its major safety systems:  new needle bearings (All Balls) for steering head and wheels; new swingarm bushings, rebuild brakes, service/rebuild forks.

If you get the hankering to rebuild the motor, think about Dynoman's 674 kit.  It works with the stock sleeves.

Hopefully this thing will be low dollar.

I am familiar with the mods that are possible.

If it needs work and head needs to come off.

A port job 3 angle valve job new rings and a bump

to 10.5 will probably be as far as I would be willing to

go no point in putting a lot of money into a Junk Yard Dog

 I'm a fair tuner and can get plenty from this thing.

without blowing a wad of cash.

If I get the urge to have real power an R-1 or Bandit

or other modern Superbike more power better handling

less $$$$
