There is a seal in the bottom of that hole where the tacho cable is fitted. That seal can be removed if using a slim hook like dentists use, grip the seal from the center hole and pull it out. I saw that on a video on Youtube.
Do NOT use a screwdriver and bend form the sides of the seal. Risk that the alu behind the seal crack and fall into the top end, between 3 and 4. Don't ask me how I know that
If the bike has no fram modification the engine has to be pulled out from frame to lift the valve cover.
Important to not press too hard when mounting the seal, it will collapse. Order minimum 2 seals so you have one replacement when you have destroyed the first one.
I added some additional non hardening sealer around the rubber seal when mounting it just for sure. No leaks.
