RC Stroker crank
« on: June 12, 2015, 12:04:18 pm »
I have a RC Eng big bore kit which has a stroked crank with shorter rods. I know the bore is 73mm can anyone tell me what the stroke is ?

Measure it Tony. If the motor is stripped down, just measure from the top of the block to the edge of the piston.

Tony, if it's a 1160 motor like you said in the other thread and it has 73mm pistons, then the stroke should be 69.25mm to give 1159.5024cc, can anyone else confirm this ?

Not in a position to do that yet Sam, yes 69.25 will give 1159cc  with a 73mm bore. Your measurement method presumes the piston is dead flush with the top of the barrel at TDC. I got the 1160cc figure from someone on the forum but somebody else says 1180cc which would be 70.5mm.

How r u Sam - might be giving you a ring soon - need some info.
