The catalog is no longer there Denis.

Sam.

I have an action fours catalog.... ;)

Does it have the 4-2 exhaust, Mick?

Yes Steve it does have a 4 into 2 exhaust in it, Its the one that has 1 and 4 linked and 2 and 3 linked. Its the 1978 catalog, it also states at the top of the page....

Quote
Action Fours has discontinued manufacture of exhaust systems and exhaust system components. All inventory, tooling and design rights have been sold.
To order exhaust systems or for any information please contact Action Exhaust Systems, Manufactured by Winks tuning 1911 Bodega Ave Petaluma, CA94952

Yes, that's the exhaust I have Mick.  Let me know if you want to sell the catalog.

I don't want to sell the catalog Steve but i could copy it for you. It sits proudly with my period RC catalog.... ;)

Patiently waiting.....

Just found the catalog Steve, there's only one pic of the exhaust and no information about it, its a 50 page catalog {lots of scanning !}, do you still want the exhaust page/ whole catalog? , the exhaust bit isn't informative at all..  Actually, just looked, Its exactly the same as the catalog Pewe posted a link to except it has the exhaust pic, I'll scan that page for you..

And how about this little piece of nostalgia. Not a bike but powered by an SOHC nonetheless. I assume Action Four was a major sponsor?

Did anyone ever determine the method of power transfer between the engines?

Yes. They ran 1 primary chain between the engines and 1 primary chain in the rear engine to the trans. Very weak and limited how much power they could produce.

OK thanks. I always wondered. If I ever find a cut off mini sprint car engine I'll try to build a twin but with left side drive.  I know a couple guys that had them. Just not now.

Thanks George.  Yes, that is the exhaust I have, didnt know the mufflers were called "Super Trapps".

I tell ya, the installation instructions would have been nice the last time I installed, there definitely is a proper procedure to them correctly.

No problem.  I didn't know myself.

I just got this in today actually.  I spend a bit of time trying to locate and acquire these vintage catalogs, pics, etc.

Glad to see others interested as well. ;)

It is interesting to see those old catalogs, the prices always seem amazing.  Where did you find it?

Found this one through a friend, it came from Canada.

Notice the US and Canadian dealer price lists.   I particularly like the catalogs from the dealers that have a the pricing info still with them.  About 8 pages of pricing...
