Well that may be because I'm a chemist and not a grease monkey,

However I am here to lear how to do the mechanical stuff myself, i cant give too much advice, but at least I'm not asking too many questions...

I'm a grease monkey, and couldn't be more proud of it.

I said i was trying to learn to be a grease monkey,  My point is that i cant comment too much on the tech forum because I dont know enough about bikes to do so...  I wish i was a mechanic, it would save me a buttload of money on car and motorcycle repairs,

Hey, no problem.  See, if I'd used a smiley or two everyone would've known that it really didn't bother me much. ;)
Years ago, however, the term "grease monkey" was used in a derogatory manner toward me.  So I told the doctor's wife to fix her effing piece of #$%*e Lexus herself.  She apologized later, and even brought lunch for myself and a co-worker.
Since then I have grown a much thicker skin and an extended fuse!

So I'll catch ya on tha late-nite tip, my posting homey.  Fo' sheezy!

I was in my cousins bike shop years ago, when a doctor who was having his riding mower serviced came in. My cousins apprentice mechanic said to him:

"Hey Doc, I'm just like you, this bike came to me near death, so I rebuilt it's heart, put it back in, and now it's running like a new one, so why don't I get paid as much as you?"

The doctor looked at him for a second and said, "Now try doing it with the engine running............." ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)
