3 cb750 racers and Scott's cb550 closest to the camera.  A fine looking set of four.

Nice Pics, George.................you would learn a lot by hanging around (or following for a few laps) with Jeff Peters. BTW..........did you see the basket-case Rickman on ebay?

I just saw the $8500 or best offer basket case Rickman.  Interesting, but a ...bit ...outside my interest level.  If a bare Rickman or Seeley frame/swingarm became available for a reasonable price...

Yeah the two Jeff Peters bikes were impressive.  I spoke with Harry, the father who seemed to have built much of the bikes and plays the role of crew chief, and active grandfather.  Very talented and meticulous guy.  The bike with the factory based chassis with the red CR tank had a few mechanical gremlins to contend with, but the Rickman seemed to have run flawlessly.

As far as I know, all the cb750s racing were running in classes requiring the 750cc limit plus 5% over, so 787cc is the max.  The tech inspections do not verify these things like Bonneville salt flats LSR does, so the honor system prevails here from what I have come to understand.

That Rickman was very fast, and actually finished 3rd in a bump up class with +/- 1100cc limit bikes up to around 1982 vintage.  Impressive showing 8)

I'd like to know his best lap times of the weekend.

The non Jeff Peters cb750, the black one, was running factory carbs.  Notice the carb choke retention system.

The #412 is 736cc with a Yosh cam. The Rickman & red bike are 762cc, but I can't remember which cams Harry uses. Harry used to race the red one so that's the reason it stays in service. It suffered from an electrical issue.

Jeff has a young family and isn't racing as much the last couple years. He is a smart natural fast guy and has raced the bike in Europe some.

I'll get his laptimes, nothing posted to Mylaps yet. Pretty sure in 08 he got into the 1:36's racing with Dave Crussell. Sunday in the P2H race he turned a 1:39.678, but he'll just go as fast as he needs.  ;)

George here are a couple of the yellow twin I mentioned. Bit of a view of the head steady.

Nice pics thanks.  You can certainly see the similarities between the yellow bike and the two other Peters bikes.

Very nicely done.  Harry was able to borrow the necessary molds and make all the figerglass fairings, seats, and tanks himself.  No easy task, especially the fuel tanks.

I first met Harry and Jeff Peters at Road America in 2009..............very nice people with a sanitary pit and a careful approach to everything..............that includes food ;) Valves and such are from Kibblewhite..............

I notice the oil-bags are slightly different on each bike...........hand-made but maybe not from Ireland ;)  My interest in the oil tanks follows our venture (my friend and fabricator,Dave Murre) into producing those tanks. We have sold two units and making plans for a few more this winter. When I'm ready to officially spill the beans, I'll start a new thread.
