CB 500F & 550F Trans - HELP
«

Hi,
I have a 72 CB500f where the bottom end blew out. I bought a new motor and it turns out it is a 550f. Can I use the new bottom end of the 550 and the rest of the parts from the 500? Any insights would be great.

Why not use the whole 550 motor?

The top end of the 550 is trashed and the top end of the 500 is polished and recently rebuilt. Don't want to duplicate my cost.
