Reward for a class winner...is not humor!
« on: September 12, 2015, 07:07:29 AM »
Humor,  BS!  I vote put it back, it's motivating , real and we work hard so if someone wants to reward the first winner? It can happen on a SOHC 4 especially the Automatic,  put it back, please. It's real. :( >:( ;D Bill

I agree its not humor, its contingency money.

I would like to see something for quick ET - MPH, standard and auto. Or best light. ;D

This could sure help to get some attention and possibly bring out some racers, new and old.. :) :)

I agree.  I think it's a great idea if it encourages more SOHC participation.

Guys, i can assure you that Pops post was NOT HUMOR. If he put it out there, he meant what he posted.

Now, if you guys decide to expand the "bonus" money to other categories other than a winners circle picture, it can only enhance our chances of bringing in more bikes. Even if its only incentive to reach the top of that goal and not to win an actual race.

If you fellas recall, i put a challenge out there once before about an SOHC bike being in the top ten in points at the end of the season- thats mainly what i was shooting for myself. Pops post notches it up a level with a specific monetary reward.

Frank, what is your best 1/4 ET on your 750? Also best mph in 1/4, Best R/T, I have a .000 light from last August 2nd in Valdosta. Records can be set on any official timed run or just when racing, qualifying and test and tune count also? Only recognizing Man Cup in November for this year.Pic of time slip to prove it. More later,  Bill
Points are out, still owe me 22, but Frank ranked 15th or 16th. They got me at 42, should be 30 or 31. Trey should have 1 point more than me. Not too bad for missing 3 races, oh well, we still got 2 left this year! K. ;D

Billy, maybe we should make those other categories a separate pot all together. I'd prefer that we concentrate on getting an actual race win based on Pops original challenge to us. Prior to each race, we can put up money for best reaction time, lowest ET, highest mph, the most bling, the most documented fan comments/admirers in the pit area. Those items don't turn on the win light in the final round of the race so it just muddies the water.

Bill, Rockingham was not kind to me as far as gaining points. I fell outside of the top ten in Crazy 8's and slipped a few notches in Street et on the Honda but I'm still in the top 20. Maybe this bonus money deal will make me concentrate more on getting a round win. Only one at a time til there are no more rounds in the race. I'm still shooting for top ten finish this season on the SOHC. I've got my fingers crossed she'll hold together til the end of this season so I can tear it down to freshen it up. I don't like running it more than a season and a half without giving it some attention.
