I'd have to assume if it qualifies for a record it was taken legally and in season.

Gators aren't protected, deer aren't either, nor is coyote or anacondas and boas in the everglades as long as they are in season and you have a license. The non-native boas and other former pet snakes are taking over the glades and eating deer and gators as well as anything else that they run across. They are a real danger as they have no predators other than the few men taking them.

Thats a baby... :P  I wonder how she'd go on our salt water Crocodiles, plenty of them well over 2000 LBs, thats should keep her busy.... ;D

Somehow, I no longer think sneaking up on an animal. Or reptile basking in the sun, or lying still to avoid detection... An honorable accomplishment..
