Fuel line routing
« on: October 13, 2015, 07:12:52 am »
Hey all, have a question/request that may seem like a common sense fixed but for some reason the answer is not coming to me. I'm finishing up the restoration of my CB750 K5 (all stock) and can not for the life of me figure out the proper routing of the fuel lines from carbs to tank. So before I cut up any more Honda fuel hose could someone look at their bike and let me know the proper route.  This may be the case where a picture is worth more than a thousand words!! Thanks in advance.

Does this help?

My bike has right side, two outlets petcock, but I route it on top of insulators (rubber pieces between the engine and carburetors), through the hole in carburetor stay (between 1 and 2 and 2 and 3).

The line should go down and horizontal only, never up.

Thanks for the comments.  The problem that I am running into on my bike is that when I run the hose behind the carbs it seems to be on the same level as the bottom of the outlet on the petcock.  I would need to make a really tight 90 degree bend in the hose to hook the two together which doesn't seem right.  If someone has actual pics of the routing maybe I can see what I am doing wrong.  Anyway thanks for the help so far.

I did.  DH if you are James then a big THANK YOU!!! You not only sent pics showing the proper hookups but what length each hose should be cut to. Could not ask for any better info.
