I Hereby present my almost finished 500 Four :)  this is the status after 7 weeks of build , with quite a lot of hours involved :)  I bought the machine in august in a fair condition but everything has been dissasembled and put together again .   The tank and the sidecovers are being painted these days , in orange sunrise flake colour.  Most parts have been bought at AC motoradteile germany who have an impressive stock of good parts and are very flexible and helpfull and also many parts from David silver England who have many pattern parts - and also got some goods things from Cmsnl in the Netherlands.  Plus front fork fork ears from France, NOS speedo from Greece, tank linings and original bullet connectors from USA  .  Almost found parts all over the World :)  thanks to everybody on the forum , I have really found much helpfull info here. Especially from Sohrons cb 550 build, but also from many of the oldtimers advice to other people :)

Any comments are welcome :)  pls enjoy photos.  Bjørn folsø Denmark.

I've already got a headache so I'm not going to look at your pictures closely.  ;D Maybe orient them differently.

A quick look seems like you've done a super job though.

That looks like a meticulous restoration. If possible, please re-orient your photos. The are all upside down.

Should be solved by now :)

That is so beautiful, it's almost a shame to have to put body panels over it.
I would consider a rubber boot for the banjo bolt at the master cylinder before a painted tank goes on.
and how did you get the inside of that front fender so clean?!!
A few Honda 500's, a few Honda 550's, a few Honda 650's, '72 cb 450, a couple 500/550/650 hybrids, and 2001 750.
550 Snowbike -Somebody had to do it.

Thank you guys.  Its being painted by a friend of mine Who have previously done some nice work for me :) i have delivered the original paint to him and i am now waiting --- you probably know the Feeling :).

YES regarding the banjo bolt rubber.. I know it , simply forgot when i put brakehose on  ???  It Will be placed later :)

Both fenders are new , and then prepared with grease on the inside :)

Yes sir. Seatlock is new, I bought it from David silver UK and then painted the upper part of seat lock .

After the photos I attached the rubber boots up to the front fork ears, Got a rubber boot over the brake caliber bleed , then adjusted tappets , did reinstallation of ignition to be sure timing is right , adjusted camchain ( with running Engine - That Works very Well for me) but most important , - After advice here on the forum i got the carbs synced properly.   Very Well running now :).      Just waiting for tank and side covers to finish the bike and take it for a small spin before Winter arrives here in Denmark :)

Ill post again when paintwork is done, and tank and covers is back on bike with orange sunrise flake :)  intention is that it will look something approx like attached photos.

good things are happening:

The painter is almost finished with tank and covers now :) He just sent the photos underneath.

it only needs the last finish with wet sandpaper, and the last clear coat then its ready  ;D
I cannot see the flake effect on the photos , but painter assures me it is there in real life :)

Also the very last parts for the bike,- some rubber boots for electrical parts and other minor stuff are coming in a few days. Including new complete original clutch with steel plates and springs which i found out on a little test drive with a quick and homemade gastank   could be better,- it slipped at high rpm :)

Will post again end of next week when all is ready & finished

LOVE that wet fresh paint...that is going to be killer...I bet you are really eager to see it all polished out and ready for install. I would advice you to tape up the edges when first fitting, just to be safe... Never know if it is going to fit nice or give you a bit of a struggle. Last think you want is to chip new paint trying to get it to fit.
That's going to be really killer.  You probably can catch the flake in a video on a sunny day to see the color shift the light gives the color.

Folsoe, Very nice work by your paint guy.
