One of the things that has most impressed me about this forum since I have joined other than the kindness and generosity of the members, is the sheer creative genius and ingenuity that I have witnessed on this forum. From Gordon's frame kits to Anders 30 amp charging system to FBstuff' covers to Hondaman's electronic ignition system and many others I am truly inspired by all of you.

With all the talent here and other places I have asked myself over and over why aren't there any sites that showcase the genius of these amazing inventors?

Also are collaboration tools that allow you to connect with designers, fabricators, and other makers to create parts of any interest to you?  Kinda like a Quirky.com for motorcycles.

Thanks!

Background on Quirky.com
Quirky.com, is a modern invention platform that connected inventors, designers and other creative types to make products that were sold through retailers like target.com etc..  This didn't work out due to thin margins at retail outlets, and they had to file Chapter 11.

Story here http://fortune.com/2015/07/15/kaufman-quirky-wink/

Brighter points to consider.
1. He had over 1 million registered users
2. His company raised over 130 million dollars.

Here is another site that does crowdsourcing for shoes.

Designers submit their designs and the company makes a prototype and submits it to manufactures.
